HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY
Don't worry, we're not in high school and we're not talking about homework and questions, we just want to tell you about us and what goes through our heads when we think of our brand. The brand was born in 2016 from the idea of dressing "evening" products of craftsmanship with a more originally classical vocation, without, however, preventing a comfortable everyday use.
A DIVERSE BUT TIGHT-KNIT CO-FOUNDER TEAM
The Santini brand immediately began to be noticed and known, especially abroad and in northern Europe, so, as part of an ambitious development project, was created a co-founder team, heterogeneous but close-knit, which, overlapping experiences varied to say the least, has proposed to give a decisive push towards the internationalization of the brand. In addition to a structured network of collaborators, our team includes an old school leather craftsman, an experienced Fashion Buyer, an extra-luxury hotellerie manager, who is sensitive to fashion and has an expert knowledge of the human soul, and a lawyer.
THE CONCEPT OF TRADITION WITH THAT OF INNOVATION
Festina lente, that is "hurry slowly", with Cosimo I de'Medici, became the motto of the historical Florentine family. For us, the association of seemingly opposing concepts means combining the concept of tradition with that of innovation, being innovatively bold but without looking so far that we lose sight of where we started. The wise man says, "You can change your shirt if you feel like it and if you have confidence you can change your shoes. If you have new shoes you can change your way and by changing your way you can change your ideas and with ideas you can change the world. But the world doesn't change often, then your real revolution will be to change yourself!". It seems to be the synthesis of our journey as modern revolutionaries, the inspiration of our growth and the light of this project.
EVERY DAY A NEW CHALLENGE TO STAY TRUE TO WHAT WE BELIEVE IN.
We are experimenters who, with the yearning for an inclusive and not single-minded global vision, firmly believe in the energy of things, feel the need for an unfiltered contact with matter. That's why the leather, that's why this project, that's why every day a new challenge in order to remain faithful to what we believe in. Leather is an ancient, ancestral material and its use has accompanied the history of mankind, evolving with it. It was the first piece of clothing, then a lace for hunting, a bridle or stirrup for riding and so on up to the modern concept of leather goods.
TRADITION AS RESPECT FOR EVERYTHING WE COME FROM.
The concept of things may change, needs may evolve, the ability to manage change may even be functional to survival itself. The fact remains that it is only in tradition, understood as respect for what we come from, that the cardinal points with which to navigate towards experimental destinations can be fixed. This is Santini's philosophy.
